Gregory Leh Obituary

Gregory R. Leh, 61, of Hazleton, passed away Sunday at his residence after a short illness.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Richard Leh and Ann Carter.

He was also predeceased by his stepfather, Robert Hunsinger; a sister, Margie Rondosh and his father-in-law, Francis Jacketti.

A Hazleton High School graduate, Greg was a Precision Metal Worker at Wyman-Gordon in Mountain Top. Greg was an avid hunter who had a passion for the outdoors and wildlife of all kinds. He was also a steadfast advocate for protecting our natural resources. Nothing made him happier than spending time in the woods with his two best friends, his dogs, Princess and Maddy. Greg was a diehard college football fan and especially loved Notre Dame.

Greg was a devout Catholic and took enormous pride in his faith. He also regularly volunteered at the Latin mass at MPB.

Greg's greatest joy was being married to the love of his life - his wife, Lisa. They were best friends and soulmates who loved to travel, cook, tend to their garden and enjoy quality time together with their dog. When God had other plans for them, Greg took on a new role. His vow of "In sickness and in health" would become the most important job he would ever have. For over 15 years, he was the primary caretaker for his wife, Lisa.

Greg is survived by his wife, Lisa Jacketti; brother, Richard Leh and wife, Barbara; brother, Charles Hunsinger and wife, Lisa; brother, Robert Hunsinger and wife, Julie; mother-in-law, Teresa Tito Jacketti; brothers-in-law, Joseph Barrett; and Francis Jacketti and his wife, Mary Jane; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. in the church.
