Evalena Siminiak Obituary
August 3, 1940 - November 4, 2025
Evalena "Evie" Mae Siminiak, age 85, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at The Toledo Hospital. She was born on August 3, 1940, in Southern Ohio to Carl and Bertha (Kittle) Alexander.
Evie deeply loved her family and cherished the time spent together. She was known for her generosity and unwavering concern for everyone she knew.
In addition to her parents, Evie was also preceded in death by her sons, Lee Kern and Ed Kern; brother, Carl; and sisters, Betty, Sarah, Silvia, Mary Lou, Flora and Bertha.
Evie is survived by her sons, John (Cindi) Kern and Mike (Beth) Hemmig; brother, Ed Alexander; sister, Reba Joann Allen; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; longtime companion, Denny Nimigean; and many extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests Friday, November 7, 2025, from 4:30-8:00 p.m., at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, 419-473-0300. Funeral Services will begin Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

Evie was a close and dear friend that I share many memories with. Some memories were sad, and some were happy either way I will cherish them all! Our growing 32 years of friendship started at Foodtown and blossom throughout the years by enjoying boat rides with wine, meeting each others family, and enjoying Broadway shows and concert.
I will always love her for who she was and miss her greatly!
