Paul "Joe" Joseph Yoash, Jr. of
Queen Anne, MD, died Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was 70 years old.
Born in
Easton, MD, Mr. Yoash was the son of the late Paul J. Yoash and Margaret (Peggy) Pugh Yoash. He was a 1971 Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School graduate in Easton and went on to attend Auburn University in Alabama.
Mr. Yoash worked for many years as a General Superintendent with Corman-Imbach Marine Construction in Baltimore, retiring after over 40 years of service. In addition to being an avid reader and coin collector, he loved being outside, whether hunting, working on the farm, or simply enjoying nature.
Mr. Yoash is survived by his wife, Myrle B. Yoash of Queen Anne; two brothers, Matthew D. Yoash of Centreville, MD and John W. Yoash (Nancy) of Apex, NC; three sisters: Dr. Ruth E. Yoash-Gantz (Frank) of Davidson, NC, Margaret "Anne" Yoash of Baltimore, MD and Nancy Y. Patrick (Lynn) of Baltimore, MD; and several nieces and nephews: Benjamin, Natalie, Christie, Trevor, Hannah, and Shannon. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mark A. Yoash, sister-in-law, Lisa M. Yoash, and his beloved black lab, Sunny.
In addition to family, Mr. Yoash was loved by many co-workers, friends, and caregivers, "his girls." The family sends their deepest gratitude to his caregivers who supported him throughout his battle and never gave up.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, June 7th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton, MD where friends may call from 11 to 12 before the service. The interment will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery in
