Marvin Thomas Parker was born December 6, 1944 in Toledo, OH, the son of Raymond and Helyn (Riseborough) Parker. He graduated from Maycomber High School in Toledo, OH and continued his education at the St. Paul Bible College (now Crown College), achieving a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education. On June 15, 1968, Marvin was united in marriage to Joyce Spader in Lincoln, NE.

Faith, family and God's creation were Marv's greatest treasures. He was honored to have served in the Christian & Mission Alliance for 50+ years in Minnesota, Nebraska, Alberta, Canada, Pennsylvania, Colorado and North Carolina. He was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers college football. Nature brought him peace. Marv was known for his love of ducks, decoys and shorebirds and their beauty in God's magnificent creation. He will be greatly missed until that glorious day when he will be united with his loved ones once more and for eternity.

Marvin is survived by his loving family: wife Joyce; children Vonda (Chuck) Malone Tiede of Waconia, Jeffrey (Lynn) Parker of Toledo, OH; grandchildren Taylor Malone, Mikyla Malone, Kaylen Malone, Abram Parker, Riley Parker, Kai Tiede, Brennen Tiede, Alexus Tiede; siblings Ronald (Sue) Parker of Adrian, MI; mother-in-law Eddis Spader of Waconia; brother-in-law Ronald "Buddy" Fritz of Lambertville, MI; sister-in-law Carol (Hal) Schulz of San Marcos, CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
