Thomas Faust Obituary

Thomas Charles Faust peacefully went home to heaven on February 16, 2025. He lived a meaningful and fulfilled life as a devoted husband, grandfather and great grandfather.

He was born on July 27, 1932 to Edmund and Evelyn (Fernow) Faust in Superior, Wisconsin and was one of five boys. The family moved to NE Minneapolis and he attended St. Charles Catholic School through 8th grade where he was an altar boy and loved playing basketball. He graduated high school from DeLaSalle and excelled at his favorite sport baseball. Tom served in the U.S. Army and was deployed in Japan and Korea. Upon his return to the states, he completed his college education at St. Thomas University and was a probation officer for Hennepin County for 30 years. On August 3, 1957, he married the love of his life and best friend, Kathreen "Kay Ann" Thomas and had six children who they raised in Chanhassen.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Kathreen "Kay" and children Brenda McMullen, Kurt (Lisa), Mark, Pat (Sonja), Kim Basalone (Dan), Lance; 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Services were held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mound on February 21, 2025. Donations to Jared Allen's Home for Wounded Warriors and The Semper Fi Fund are encouraged in lieu of flowers.
