Billy Ferguson Obituary

Billey Roy Ferguson, 91, passed from this life on October 20, 2024, in Antlers. He was born on October 18, 1933, in Soper, the son of Roy L. Ferguson and Cordie (Dean) Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Letha Joyce (Antwine) Ferguson; daughters, Darla Fern Valkner and Letha Denise Ritchie and brothers, Lonnie Ferguson, James Ferguson, R.L. Ferguson, Forrest Ferguson and Walter Ferguson. Billey grew up in the Soper and Antlers communities. He graduated from Soper High School and worked as a drafter in the boating industry. Billey married his beloved wife of 62 years, Letha Joyce Antwine, on December 24, 1956, in Antlers. Billey and Letha moved to Houston around 1960 and moved back to Antlers 22 years later. He enjoyed sharing his love for fishing with his family and took pride in growing his vegetable garden every year. He loved visiting with his brothers and spending time with his family. Billey's memory will live on in the hearts of his family as they carry him with them. Billey is survived by his son, Darrel Richard Ferguson and wife, Anna of Antlers; grandchildren, Jim Ferguson (Sydney), Robert Ferguson (Jessica), Todd Ferguson (Benson), Diana Williams (Ronnie), Jamie Perez (Louis), and Nicole Lucas (Jeff), great grandchildren, Kayliegh, Tristen, Katie, Landon, Eli, Kevin, Isabel, Shawn, Harlyn and Oved; sisters, Oweda Davenport, Yvonne Robinson (Rex) Kay Thompson (Bobie) and Sue Egan; numerous nieces and nephews, other family, friends and loved ones. The family received friends on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 9:00 ~ 10:00 AM at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo. Services took place on October 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel in Hugo with Joe Maple officiating, with assistance from Minister Brent Franks. Interment followed at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper. Services were entrusted to Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo, Oklahoma.
