Clarks Hill, SC – Entered into rest on Saturday, November 18, 2023, Mrs. Kathryn Elizabeth Izlar Hatcher, 72, loving wife of 44 years to Mike Hatcher.

Elizabeth was born in Augusta, GA but has lived in Clarks Hill for several years. She taught school for 26 years for the Edgefield School System. She was an avid Georgia football fan and she enjoyed traveling to the beach. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all she knew.

Family members in addition to her husband include her brother: Mike Izlar (Kathy); and nephews: Brett Izlar (Lisa), Justin Izlar (Lindsay), Davis McDougal (Elizabeth), and Garrett McDougal. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred Izlar, brother, Al Izlar, and her sister, Nancy McDougal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
