It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ida Splain, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Ida passed away on November 9, 2024. She was born on January 13, 1922, in Germany.
Ida is survived by her late husband Erd, mother to Neil Splain (wife Jeanette), Marliese Stallings (husband Bob), and Lonnie Splain (wife Barbara). Grandmother to Mike Splain (wife Gabby), Sven Carl, Andy Carl (wife Laurie), Travis Splain, Evan Splain, and the late Colin Splain. Great Grandmother to numerous great grandchildren.
Ida was known for her love of duck pin bowling, passion for flowers, and skill in knitting. She met her husband, Erd, who served in the U.S. Army, in Germany and the two fell in love, married, and eventually settled in America.
A public viewing to honor Ida's life will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Friday November 15, 2024 from 10:00-12:00 pm. A funeral service will start at 12 noon. Following a graveside at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
