Faye Carter Obituary

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Faye Farley Carter went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 10th at the age of 88. Faye was born in Putnam County on October 15, 1935 to parents Jesse & Ollie Farley. She was one of 6 children. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Ralph Farley and Jim Farley and sister Gayle Guess.

Faye is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Carter, her daughters Diane Carter and Teresa Farris. She is also survived by her twin sister Flo Rich and her brother Johnny Farley (Dianna). She is also survived by granddaughters Amy (Brian) Allen of Fort Mill SC, Jennifer Wilson of Cookeville and Michele Margolin of Nashville TN. She was a grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Faye was a faithful member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church for 51 years.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home on Friday, September 13th at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Pastor Mark Gaw will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Cookeville City Cemetery.
