HASTINGS - Sheryl Ann Brundage, 73, of Hastings died on October 27, 2024, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 1, 2024, at First United Methodist Church in Hastings with Pastor Lance Clay officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the church.

Sheryl was born on December 24, 1950, in Cheyenne, WY, to Elmer and Agnes (Marvel) O'Neill. She received her education at Grand Island Senior High School and Central Community College-Grand Island. On July 20, 1968, she was united in marriage to Ronald Brundage at United Methodist Church in Cairo, NE.

She was employed at Tony's Restaurant in Cairo, NE, Neon Signs & Designs in Grand Island, NE, and was an assistant manager with Christensen Concrete in Grand Island, NE. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at United Methodist Church in Hastings and Cairo, member of United Methodist Women, and volunteer for Relay for Life.

Sheryl enjoyed reading, camping, fishing, antiquing, crocheting blankets, going to auctions, and playing board games. She loved baking, having dogs around, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; sons: Devin (Jami) Brundage of Gothenburg, NE, Todd (Carlia) Brundage of Juniata, NE; brothers: Gordon (Colleen) O'Neill of Grand Island, NE, Ed (Linda) O'Neill of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren: Braeden (Kaylee) Brundage of Gothenburg, NE, Justise (Richard) Rhoden of Aurora, NE, Kelsey Brundage of Auburn, NE; and great-grandchild, Benson Brundage of Gothenburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rusty O'Neill; sister, Peg Brundage; and daughter-in-law, Tami Brundage.
