Vernice Reaves Obituary

Vernice Reaves passed away at the age of 92 at Magnolia Place in New Albany, MS on September 5, 2024. She was born to WT and Ida Jones on February 18, 1932 in Union County, MS. She retired as a Nurse from Tippah County Hospital and attended the Dumas Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the Service starts at 2:00 PM at Dumas Baptist Church. Burial at Fellowship Cemetery.

Vernice is survived by her son: Larry Reaves (Patty) of Falkner, MS; one daughter: Deborah Bridges of Fulton, MS; three grandchildren: Doug Bridges (Libby) of Fulton, MS, Dennis Bridges (Grace) of Sherman, MS, Brittney Westmoreland (Allen) of Falkner, MS; five great-grandchildren: Ramey, Michaela, Jane, Clara, Amelia; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law: Jean Reaves, Martha Linville.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Newton Bab Reaves; two brothers: Noverta Jones, Leroy Jones; four sisters: Thelma Jernigan, Hope Rodger, Ruth Rogers, Louise Jones; her son-in-law: Mike Bridges.

Officiating: Bro. Chris Shinault, Bro. Doug Bridges. Pallbearers will be: Jerry Little, Bruce Jones, Allen Westmoreland, Ramey Bridges, Nathan Stroupe, Bobby Jones.
