Joshua Thornton Obituary

Joshua Robert Thornton, age 11, of McCaysville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Joshua was born June 22, 2013, in Austell, Georgia to John Thornton and Laura Thornton.
Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy and Katrina Davis.
He is survived by his mother, Laura Thornton; father, John Thornton; grandparents, Robert and Linda Thornton; sister, Sierra Thornton, aunts, Kristin Davis and Rachel Mullins; uncle, Tyler Thornton; cousins, Katrina Howell, Jonathan Davis, Michael Davis, Solina Davis, Abigail Mullins, Sarah Mullins, Naomi Mullins, and Cyrus Mullins; and niece, Hazeleigh McCosh.
Funeral Services were held, September 21, 2024, at 4 p.m. at Cochran-McDaniel Blue Ridge Chapel with Pastor Clarence Howard officiating.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers, John Thornton, Robert Thornton, Tyler Thornton, Brandon Brantley, Michael Davis, and Jonathan Davis.
Interment followed at Crestlawn Cemetery in McCaysville, Georgia.
The family received friends at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Following the service, a meal was prepared for family and friends at the Cochran|McDaniel Funeral Home of McCaysville, Georgia.
