CHERYL LAROCK Obituary

MAHAFFEY - Cheryl F. LaRock, 67, of Mahaffey passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital after a brief illness.

Born March 16, 1957 in Morristown, N.J., she was the daughter of Lester and Elisabeth (Bloom) Boal.

She was a graduate of Curwensville Area High School and received her Associates degree in Nursing from Lock Haven Clearfield. She had worked as a registered nurse locally at Mt. Laurel, Ridgeview Elder Care, and Mulberry Square. She was currently working as a travel nurse for RN Network in Muncy Place.

She is survived by a daughter, Christal R. Turner (Douglas) of Curwensville; three grandchildren, Bailey Dale, Kirk Turner fiancée Angel Aughinbaugh, all of Clearfield, and Kendra Turner of Curwensville; brothers and sisters, Cindy Rogers (Ron) of Glen Richey, Gilbert Boal of Clearfield, Dee Brady (Tom), James Boal, Edie Lines, Lillian Baughman, all of Oil City, and Stephen Lines of Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Haney; parents; a son, Bradley J. Haney; and brothers, Donald, Russell, David, and Gary Boal.

A Celebration of Life service for Cheryl LaRock will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024 at 2 p.m.

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield County SPCA, 275 21st St., Clearfield, PA 16830..
