JANET WALLACE Obituary

WALLACETON - Janet L. Wallace, 80 of Wallaceton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024.

Born May 11, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy (Hull) Millinder.

On Sept. 8, 1962, at the former Wallaceton Methodist Church, Wallaceton, she wed the late Walter Wallace, Sr., who preceded her in death on June 25, 2020.

Janet was a 1962 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School, Philipsburg. She had been employed by Hamer's Restaurant, Central Intermediate Unit and prior to her retirement she was employed by Harris Cleaning Services.

Surviving are the following children, Laureen (Russell) Jackson, Walter "Bo" (Carol) Wallace, Jr., Ricky (Karen) Wallace, Wanda (James) Lytle, Gerald Wallace, with who she resided; and her dog "Willie;" ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Bettie Knepp and Edward Millinder.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers; an infant sister; and a great-granddaughter.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024 at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, from 5 to 8 p.m., and again on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

She will be laid to rest in Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
