Marjorie Smeal Obituary

CLEARFIELD - Marjorie D. Smeal, 93, of Clearfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025 at Penn Highlands, Clearfield.

Born April 13, 1932 in Bigler, she was the daughter of the late Clark and Lena (Wisor) Williams.

On Aug. 22, 1952 she wed Chester B. Smeal, who after 39 years of marriage preceded her in death on June 3, 1992.

Surviving are her daughters, Sharon K. Fye, Morrisdale, and Denise G. Smeal, Clearfield.

Marjorie was last of her generation.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis B. Smeal; her sisters, Faye English, Geneva Snyder, Maxine Owens, Patricia Wallace; and her brothers, Clair Williams, Marvin Williams, and Carl Williams.

Marjorie was a 1951 graduate of Clearfield High School. She was a homemaker, loving and caring for her children. She loved to quilt; she also loved flowers and gardening.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Laurer officiating.

She will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, Morrisdale, along side her husband.
