Mark Biondi, 66, of Fleetville, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Green Ridge Care Center. Mark suffered a life-altering stroke in January 2023 and, despite his efforts in rehabilitation, he ultimately passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Mark was born on Sept. 21, 1957, in Peckville, to the late Michael and Delores Newton Biondi. He was a 1975 graduate of Valley View High School. He built a successful career in the car business in Northeastern Pennsylvania with most of his employment spent at Scranton Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep.
Mark will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Karen Stash Biondi, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage of 19 years filled with love and laughter. They shared fond memories of adventure and fun, while also enjoying the comforts of everyday life. He was a supportive father and stepfather to his children and a cherished Nono to his grandchildren.
Mark was known for his bold sense of humor and adoration for his dogs, Tia and Teddy. He enjoyed playing golf (and, of course, watching golf), cooking, wheelin and frequenting local eateries by way of "back roads." His loyalty, character and aptitude in the kitchen will be forever treasured and deeply missed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joshua VanDuzer; three daughters, Bettina (Zeb) Guy, Chrissy (Ben) Wynn, Molly (Eli) VanDuzer-Zitch; four grandchildren, Annalese and Grayson Guy, Benjamin and McCarney Wynn; a brother, Michael (Judy) Biondi; and two sisters, Karen Mattey and Gloria Spryn.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Biondi; a sister, Anita Fumani; and a brother-in-law, Daniel Mattey.
The family will be holding a private service to honor Mark's memory. For those who wish, please send condolences to the surviving members of his family.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the caregivers, medical staff, nurses and doctors who took care of Mark, both in his home and at various hospitals and facilities in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Northeastern Pennsylvania.

My sincerest condolences to your whole family. During Marks rehabilitation I got to know him and the family very well! It was impressive to see. All the steps that were taken to bring Mark home after his devastating stroke. Every effort was made to improve his functional levels and his quality of life. It was a huge endeavor for Karen to take on, but she did it with grace and determination. The love she had for Mark was great! I am sure that Marc is finally at peace. It was a very hard road for him. A life taken too young!

Mark was a great guy. He was always there to help me when I had dealings with Scranton Dodge. He went out of his way to join me while I waited for service. Always invited me to his home to enjoy fishing with my grandchildren who were his nephews. My condolences to his family, Especially his brother Mike and sister Karen. ,
