MOUNTAIN CITY - Ella Hudson Stout, age 83 of Mountain City, passed away November 5, 2024 at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living in Boone, NC. Ella was born April 19, 1941 in Orofino, ID, to the late Harry and Beatrice Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Earl Stout and brothers, Louis, Frank, Charles, Tom, Ralph "Lee", Ed, Joe and Andrew Hudson.
Ella's favorite thing to do was read and you could always find her with a book in her hand. She was well known for her many years as the coordinator at Hale Community Ministries. She was a member of Nelson's Chapel Church.
Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Jimmy Stout, Jr. and wife Sheri; sister, Laura Chatham and husband George; brother, Sam Hudson; grandson, Austin Stout (Jenna); several nieces, nephews and her special dog, Zoe.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Sam Icenhour officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Dunn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
