Rajunis, Leonard G. 1941 - 2009, After 68 years in this lifetime, Lenny (Reggie) has gone to the other side to be with his parents, Anna Dundek Rajunis and George Rajunis. He is being greeted by all his old friends and relatives who have gone before him. He was a United States Army Veteran and a Teamsters Union member and was proud of his 34 year excellent record driving trucks for United Parcel Service out of the Chicago Jefferson Street Terminal. He was one of the many colorful people who populate the old Chicago neighborhood near 18th and Halsted Streets. Almost every Sunday morning he visited the Maxwell Street Market to kibbitz with friends and he frequently bought things from sellers who did not have any customers. He loved to ride his bike up and down the Lake Michigan lakefront. He was generous and kind to his many friends, relatives and neighbors. Lenny is survived by one sister, Carol Roche (Michael) and nephew Nicholas, and many aunts, uncles, and dozens of cousins and old friends. He said he enjoyed his life and he lived it "his way". There will be no services.

Lenny: I hadn't seen you in a long time, but I really missed your sense of humor and wisdom...and the fact that you made me feel so included with the crowd at 12th st.beach. We shared so many wonderful times together. I sure hope to meet you on the other side (dimension) you're a very unique person and the only one who enjoyed Maxwell St. and the thrift shops of Chicago as much as me. UPS is sure going to miss you.

Although we didn't see much of cousin Lenny, we're going to miss him.
He was generous to the kids and to us too. We have many things around the house from Lenny, and even our kids will remember his coin tosses. The trips he took with his Aunts & Uncles were also a sign of his generosity.
A few years ago we met a salesman from CarMax who knew Lenny from UPS. The salesman said Lenny used to bring in PB&J sandwiches for everyone once in awhile....
Rest in Peace, our prayers are with you.

My cousin Lenny was kind, generous, quirky, had a great sense of humor, and wasn't afraid to speak his mind - which is a good, inherited trait. :o)
He was loved and appreciated by friends and family members, and will be greatly missed. I only wish there'd be some type of memorial service for him - he deserves a parade in his honor, or maybe more appropriately, an honorary street sign by the UPS.
Rest In Peace, Lenny
Love, Barb (Dundek) Clark & Michael
