Gary Graham Obituary

Gary Ellsworth Graham passed away July 28, 2023 in Longmont. He was 85 years old. Gary was born in Pueblo, CO to Elza and Irene Graham; and then raised in Fowler, CO. The family moved to Longmont in 1954 and Gary graduated from Longmont High School in 1955. After graduation he attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins before joining the Marines. After being honorably discharged from serving his country Gary went back to school at the University of Northern Colorado. Gary married Shirley Elliott in December of 1960. He worked for IBM for 30 years before retiring. In his free time Gary enjoyed traveling; including camping, cruises and road trips. He loved airplanes, was a good family man, enjoyed working in the yard, watching westerns and telling his life stories. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Longmont for nearly 63 years. Gary had a great memory and was published in Popular Mechanics for an original idea of his. He is survived by his wife Shirley; his children Kevin, Craig (Debbie), and Kirk (Michelle) and his grandson Jason. Services for Gary will be held on August 8, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Longmont; viewing from 10:00-11:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Dear Shirley,
I am sorry I will not be able to attend service for Gary. I have a group coming to my home that day. I will always remember the stories that Gary told . I was amazed by all he did and was interested in. You are in my prayers as you navigate this difficult time. My love to you and your whole family. Paula
