Ralph Pegram Obituary

Ralph Anglin Pegram, 97, passed away peacefully at his home in Montpelier, Virginia on June 4th, 2024. He was born on December 16th, 1926 in Petersburg, Virginia to William Bernard Pegram and Berniece Anglin Pegram.

Ralph, known for his wonderful sense of humor and ability to bring laughter to any conversation, was a loyal son, husband, and an honorable man. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was then called to serve in the Korean Conflict. Ralph owned and ran a local service station in Montpelier, Virginia. Continuing his strong work ethic, he later worked as an electrician's welder at the North Anna Power Plant until he retired.

Ralph was a member of Chapel Church of Christ in Montpelier, Virginia. In his free time, Ralph enjoyed woodworking, building furniture, and caring for his rescue cats and dogs.

Ralph is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Jean Walker and Ruby Kay Tompkins, cherished sister Louise Patterson Sieling, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Eunice Tate Pegram, and siblings William "Bill" Pegram and Helen Frances Tierney.

A graveside service for the family will be held at a later date.
