Roy Beck Obituary

Roy "Bing" William Beck, 79, of Sarver, passed away peacefully on Oct. 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on Oct. 26, 1945. Roy was a devoted husband of 55 years, father, and grandfather. He served in the Marine Corps as an MP, retired from Allegheny Ludlum/Teledyne, was a 50-year member of the Bethel Masonic Lodge, and was a member of the Shriners. Roy loved history, flying, riding motorcycles, and hunting, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He is survived by his mother, Eileen (Burke) Beck; wife, Diana (Putner) Beck; brother, Gregory Beck; sister-in-law, Barbara Beck; his children, Brian Beck and Krystal (Beck) Bentz; his son-in-law, Jeffrey Bentz; and his beloved grandchildren, Abigail Bentz, Tyler Bentz, and Logan Beck. He was preceded in death by his late father, LeRoy Robert Beck; and his daughter-in-law, Rebecca [McCurdy] Beck. A public viewing will be held from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at RJ SLATER IV FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA (724-335-0100). A Masonic service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, in Greenwood Memorial Park, New Kensington, with Jonathan Hill officiating.
