Magdalene M. "Madge" Pissott, 96, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Oct. 7, 2025, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
She was born April 21, 1929, in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Kicin Salmay. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School and was formerly employed as a school aide.
Madge was a loving wife for over 50 years and a caring mother and grandmother who always put the needs of others before herself.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. Pissott; daughters, Elaine O'Donnell and Gloria Pissott; sisters, Elizabeth Everett, Anna Marks, Julia Furman and Helen Salmay; and brothers, Nicholas and Theodore Salmay.
Surviving are her daughter, Catherine Alles; sons, Fred Pissott and Robert Pissott; grandchildren, Maria, Michael and Lauren; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Charlotte and Eliza; and sister, Vera Carr.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
