Maria Socorro Martinez, age 84, born in San Antonio, Texas and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 14, 2025.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Luz and Josephina Martinez, sister Lillian Martinez, brothers Humberto (Beto) Martinez, Margarito Martinez and Mike Martinez.
She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Montez and husband Fredrick, her sister Maria Elena Ruiz and husband John and brother Jesus R. Martinez and wife Yolanda. Nieces and nephews; Ida Martinez and Phillip Contreras Jr, Gloria Ruiz – Rosado and husband Richard Wood, Jazmine Gil and husband Aaron, Julie Lopez and husband Damien, Levi Wood, Diana Ruiz Bustos, Anthony Bustos and wife Anna, Isaiah Bustos as well as several extended family and friends. A Service will be held at on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, the burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery 924 Menual Blvd. NE.
