Murphy, Lawrence
BALLSTON LAKE - Larry Murphy of Ballston Lake, N.Y., passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 63, after long illnesses he battled for many years. He grew up in Voorheesville, N.Y. and had a 28 year career with the New York State Department of Corrections, rising to the rank of captain before retiring. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, traveling to Maine and Florida, and his many friends.
Larry was the son of the late Robert and Mary Murphy, and is survived by sister Pam (Allen), brothers Tom (Robin), Roger (Sethann), several nieces and nephews, relatives, the Meister family and especially Alfred Meister who he was close to, and his special friend Patty Greene.
Arrangements for his final resting place will be private.

We lived nextdoor to Larry, as he was growing up and his parents and family. We knew of his illness and hope that now he is in a place where there is no pain and suffering.
