Therese Butts Obituary
BETHLEHEM - Therese Marie "Terry" Clouse Butts sadly left us on the morning of September 28, 2023, at the age of 68 after a brief illness.
Terry was born on September 19, 1955, to Mary Ann Scalzo Clouse McCarville and Peter C. Clouse. As a child, Terry performed many tap dance recitals with her partner, Brad, at various community locations. Later, Terry graduated from the Academy of the Holy Names and then attended Maria College to study the health field. After this, Terry was an employee of the New York State Assembly and retired after 20 years of service from the Albany County Health Department, where she was much loved by her clients. Recently, Terry served as an officer for the Robert L. Weininger VFW Post 8692 Auxiliary in Colonie.
Terry was predeceased by her father, Peter C. Clouse; and her sister, Cheryl Ann Clouse. Terry is survived by her husband, Thomas Butts; her son, Donald Frangella Jr. (Colleen Partenope); her mother, Mary Ann Scalzo Clouse McCarville (the late Patrick McCarville); her brother, Peter Clouse (Mary Libertucci); her grandsons, Giovanni and Anthony Frangella; her nephews, Jacob and Zachary Clouse; her husband's children, Thomas Butts, Mykel-Lyn Butts Rowley, and Jhona-Lee Butts; and many aunts and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Therese's family on Monday, October 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance. Therese's funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 3, at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 21 Main St., Ravena. The Rite of Committal will immediately follow the Mass in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Ravena. A memorial celebration will follow at a later date.
Those wishing to remember Therese in a special way may make contributions to St. Patrick's Church, 21 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

To Terry's family,
It is with sadness that I write this note of condolence. I was sorry to hear that Terry had passed away. It's been a couple of years since I last saw her. When I was in town, I would run into her at the cemetery. We were both paying our respects to our family members who have gone before us. We would chat for a while catching up on whatever happened since we last saw each other. She truly loved her family and especially her grandchildren. To Terry´s beloved family,
I am so shocked and saddened to learn of Terrys passing. We were both roommates in the hospital when we both lost our babies. This was such a devastating time for both of us. Some how perhaps God put us in the same room. We were able to help each other and only another person experiencing the same situation could truly understand.She was kind, sweet and a caring person. We kept in touch for several years after. I will never forget her. I am so so sorry. Sending love and prayers, especially to Donnie and her dear Mother.May she Rest in Peace. Her kind Heart will never be forgotten.
