Thomas Haberland Obituary

Haberland, Thomas Kenneth
NASSAU - Tom passed away at home on September 27, 2023, after losing his courageous battle against Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis and Cholangiocarcinoma Cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and countless precious memories. He was born on November 20, 1985.
Tom is survived by his wife and best friend, Stacey (Jones) Haberland, and his daughter, Alexis Marie Haberland, the joy in his life.
Tom was a devoted family man. His love for his wife and daughter was insurmountable. He enjoyed their many adventures: quadding, camping, fishing, snowmobiling and jet skiing. Nothing made him happier than being with them.
Tom was a life-long resident of the Town of Nassau and a well-respected local businessman, as the owner and operator of NE Tree and Property Services. He succeeded in building his business from the ground up, starting out as a teenager. Tom was always there to lend a hand to family, friends, and other local business owners, helping the growth of many of those businesses. Kind, caring, and generous are just a few of the traits he embodied. He treasured working side by side with his wife, brother, and father, and was proud of all they accomplished.
Tom was overwhelmed by the outpouring of generosity from so many friends, family and local businesses who donated to the cause of his liver transplant.
Tom is also survived by his loving parents, Thomas A. and Donna Haberland; brother, Corey Haberland; niece, Arianna Haberland; mother-in-law, Susan Jones; father-in-law, Clarence Jones; and brother-in-law, Randy (Patty) Jones. He was adored by his aunts and uncles, William Haberland, Janet (Patrick) Mahoney, Daniel Haberland, Judith Teiper, Timothy Haberland, Monica (Gregory) Walsh, Francis (Barbara) Haberland, Christina (David) Williams, Darlene (Link) Pettit, Lois (Jim) Bennett, Jacqueline (Jim) Green, and Kenneth (Linda-Le) Morris. He is also survived by many loving cousins. He was the loving grandson of the late John J. and Jeanette Haberland Sr. and Kenneth and Lois Morris Sr.; the nephew of the late John J. Haberland Jr. and James Haberland; and brother-in-law of the late Eric G. Jones.
Relatives and friends are invited to his calling hours from 12 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer, with a memorial service at 4 p.m.

Our sincere condolences to all of you. We can't say enough about Tom. We had him do our landscaping when he first started in business, and also cut some trees for us. His work was always impeccable. He was always kind, considerate and a true gentleman, who always had a sense of calm and peace. May your wonderful memories comfort you through this most difficult time. Good bless. Sincerely, Bill and Donna Pulver
