It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Mrs. Marie Dennis Howle age 75. Mrs. Howle passed away January 20, 2026 while at Morrell Nursing Center.
The family will be accepting visitors Friday January 23rd from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the residence of Samantha Rush, 311 West Old Camden Road, Hartsville, S.C. Marie was born in Darlington a daughter of the late Joe Dennis, Sr. and Mildred Haggins Dennis.
Marie loved westerns and her soap operas. She loved baking and had quite a reputation for her cakes. She enjoyed sewing, making clothes, and crossword puzzles.
She had many different jobs, but her last was a teachers aid at Calvary Christian School. After she retired she enjoyed staying at home and taking care of her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, her son (Joshua Howle), her sister (Gladys Dennis), and her husband (Wayne Howle). She is survived by her brothers Joe Dennis Jr., Allen (Vivian), her son Timmy Davis (Lisa), Daughters Samantha Rush (Thomas), Kimberly Howle, and grandchildren Zack Davis, Jacob Rush, and Luke Rush.
