Brooke L. Berger

It is with great sadness and heartache that the family of Brooke Lauren Berger announce that she has joined the angels and her father with the Lord in Heaven on Sept. 2, 2023. Brooke was a loving and caring daughter, niece, cousin and loyal friend to many. She was 31 years old.

Brooke was born on Dec. 4, 1991 to Jacqueline Berger and the late William Berger.

She graduated from Jim Thorpe High School in 2010 and continued her education at Bloomsburg University, graduating in December of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. Brooke continued her passion for working with children in the education field. She was employed by Behavioral Health Associates, since graduating college.

Brooke was known for her beautiful smile and living life to the fullest. Her loves and interests we're spending time with her friends and family, going to concerts, fall campfires, girl trips and especially visiting New York at Christmas time. Brooke found her true happiness with Frankie Jacobs. Her light will continue to shine in all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, Jacqueline, she is survived by Uncle Barry Berger; Aunt Roxanne Downs; Aunt Rochelle and husband, David Green; Uncle Rick Searfoss and wife, Lisa; Aunt Cheryl Berger; Uncle Shawn Searfoss and wife, Heather; Aunt Jill Berger; cousins, John Searfoss and wife, Michelle, Rhiannon, Dominic, Ricky, Tonya, Brian, Libby, Zach and Skyler.

She was predeceased by her father, William Berger; Uncle Mark Berger; Uncle Kenneth Downs; and a cousin, Justin Berger.

Services: Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6th and North St., Jim Thorpe with Rev. John Hassler officiating. Memorial visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Jim Thorpe. The Edward Melber Funeral Home in Jim Thorpe is in charge of arrangements.
