William Henry Harrison Blankenship, Jr., 90, of Crab Orchard, passed away on Sunday, October 19 2025 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley.
Born March 17, 1935 at New Richmond, he was the son of the late William Henry Harrison Blankenship, Sr. and Ennis (Halsey) Blankenship.
H was a member of UMWA and was a former truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed ginsenging, camping, and four wheeling.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his first wife, Ina Marie Blankenship; his second wife, Betty Blankenship; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Blankenship; son-in-law, Lynn Trent; granddaughter, Brandy Trent; sisters, Fern Thorn, Geraldine Najar, Dreama Taylor, infant sister, Diane Hope Blankenship; and Rita Edens; and three brothers, Jack Blankenship, Timmy Blankenship, and Terry Otis Blankenship.
Those left to cherish his memory include his three children, William David "Butch" Blankenship and his wife, Elizabeth, Gary Blankenship and his wife, Emily, and Pam Adkins; six grandchildren, Brian, Joey, Julie, Travis, Jason, and Tiffany; nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; one brother, Mackie Vaughan Blankenship; and his best friend and caregiver, Helen Walker.
Services will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Old Grove Chapel, Crab Orchard with Minister Douglas Thorn officiating. Burial will follow in the Bower Cemetery, Twin Falls State Park.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
