Donald Edward Ahl

Donald Edward Ahl of Temperance, Michigan, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, after a heroic six-year battle with cancer, with his family by his side.

Donald, born December 8, 1967, son of Patricia and the late Thomas Ahl, grew up in Point Place. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1986 and then went on to the University of Toledo. After college he started his financial career at New England Financial, eventually finding his home as a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Sylvania in 2012. He was dedicated to serving his clients and cherished his time working at Edward Jones with Linda Bourgeois and Alicia Enright by his side.

Outside of work our strong, stubborn, patriarch loved to travel the world, especially to his happy place, Maui, Hawaii. He spent his free time with his children and his bulldog, Stanley. He could often be found in his favorite chair with any one of them snuggled by his side watching Michigan football.

Don is survived by his wife, Elicia Eddy; children, Lizzie, Gracie, Thomas, and August Ahl; mother, Patricia Ahl; brother, Jeff (Andrea) Ahl; and his former spouse, Donna Toy.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Emily "PJ" Ahl; father, Thomas Ahl; and his favorite uncle, Paulie Zalecki.

Friends and family will be receiving visitors on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 4 to 7:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43623. A memorial service will take place the following day on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the funeral home beginning at 11 AM followed by a private burial.
