Alan Harris Obituary

Beloved husband of Sue Korenbaum Harris, father of Scott and Eliana. Son of Gloria and George Harris, adored brother of Len Harris and Sandi Harris Tipograph (Lewis Tipograph) and cherished Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Alan passed away peacefully after battling a long illness on May 7, 2025.

Alan was a kind, gentle person who cherished his family and friends above all else. He loved music, good food, and a multitude of sports, both as a participant and observer. The warmth of his relationship with Sue was ever present in their home where all were welcomed. He will be forever missed by those he touched with his caring manner and his engaging smile.

Services will be held at Ohr Kodesh Congregation in Chevy Chase at noon on Friday, May 9. Information about Shiva to follow. Funeral arrangements by Hines Rinaldi, Silver Spring, MD.

We were so sorry to hear this sad news. What a blessing to have had such a lovely relationship with a sibling. I remember Alan very well as an extremely gentle person. My heart is with you.

Alan Harris was a hockey teammate for many, many years. In addition to him being a solid defensive defenseman and a great breakout passer, he was one of the nicest guys I´ve ever known. Condolences to his brother Len and his entire family. He left a legacy, for sure.

I will miss the special conversations about sports with my dear cousin Alan. He was always so kind and welcoming whenever we saw him. Sue, Scott and Ellie, our thighs are with you.

Deepest condolences on the loss of Alan. We went to school years ago, and although we hadn't see one another in years, I used to run into him when I worked in DC. May your memories of your times together hold you during this difficult time
