Vernon Allshouse Obituary

Vernon Thomas Allshouse, 86, of New Stanton, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Aug. 2, 1939, in Armbrust. Son of the late John A. and Blanche I. (Thomas) Allshouse. He graduated from Hempfield High School Class of 1957. Tom was a member of Living Evidence Church in New Stanton. He worked and retired as a laborer for People's Natural Gas after 27 years of service. Tom loved anything outdoors, including hunting at Fork Run Camp in Forest County and camping. He traveled all over the country camping with his family. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, refinishing furniture, and collecting Dale Earnhardt Sr. NASCAR memorabilia. He is preceded in death by both parents and sister, Gayle Cochran. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia A. (Altman) Allshouse of New Stanton; sons, Tom (Judy) Allshouse of Greensburg, Brian (Toni) Allshouse of Greensburg, and Brad Allshouse of New Stanton; grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Cody, Noah, Jonah, Mary Elizabeth, Garrett, Dylan, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jace, Levi, Payton, and Walker; and sister, LeVeda Thudium of Florida. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison, PA 15663 Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at the Living Evidence Church, 612 S Center Ave., New Stanton, PA 15672, with Pastor Steve Bane. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Tom's memory to Western Pennsylvanian Conservancy, 800 Waterfront Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
