Ronald Koedel Obituary

Ronald G. Koedel, 78, of Natrona, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Dec. 10, 1945, in Natrona Heights to the late George and Helen (Thompson) Koedel. Ron was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Navy. He worked for Phillips Cabinet Shop, Natrona Heights, for 30 years and retired from Waste Management. Ron was a member of the P.N.A. and American Legion Post 48 both in Natrona. He enjoyed computer and video games and in his younger years was in bowling and horseshoe leagues. Ron also played bass guitar and was in several local bands over the years. Ron is survived by his long time love and fiancee, Clara Stone; daughter, Rhonda (Anthony) Farone; stepsons, Frank Stone (Jayme Maudhuit) and Stacy (Kim) Koedel; grandson, Rocco Farone; sister, June Jones; his fiancee's mother, Connie Hoak; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, Vernon and Melvin Koedel; sister, Virginia Simmers; and his fiancee's father, George Hoak. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.
