William Kelly Obituary
January 13, 1942 - February 19, 2024
Puyallup, Washington - William L. Kelly, 82, was born in Tacoma to Ray & Lois Kelly. In his youth he loved sports, boy scouts & the Hood Canal. As a 1960 Stadium HS graduate, he played football & tennis, swam & was student body VP. He attended WSU, earned a varsity letter in swimming, BA in Poly Sci & Biz & was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity.
In 1969, Bill married Patricia Kern & then attended U of Pittsburgh, studying Physical Therapy. He practiced PT for 37 years in WA. Appointed by Gov. Gardner, he served 4 years on the WA state board of PT.
He enjoyed boating the San Juans, his dahlia garden & reading historical literature. Bill volunteered as a football athletic trainer at Puyallup High School & PLU. He loved eating ice cream with his grandchildren. Bill & Patty enjoyed 15 years snow-birding in Arizona, where he created beautiful silver jewelry.
He is survived by Patty, wife of 55 yrs; sons Christian Kelly (Aubrey) & Eric Kelly (Kari); grandchildren Aiden, Brianna, Kiira, Elizabeth, Madelyn, Caleb & Titus; siblings Kay (Kelly) Yechout & Barbara (Kelly) Effenberger.
Celebration of Life, March 15th, 2PM, at The Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake.

Bill and I were in the same confirmation class at First Lutheran Church, and classmates at Stadium High School.
I was so glad to see him at our last class reunion in 2022. We did a lot of catching up and talking about his family. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
