Rebecca Collins Obituary
February 16, 1952 - July 11, 2025
Rebecca Ann Collins, of Welling, OK, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on July 11, 2025. Born on February 16, 1952, she had to fight all her life due to her small size but big opinions. A warrior of the body, Rebecca had a heart attack at a young age and unknowingly only had half of her heart in operation at 73, ignoring the pain and growing new veins to stay alive for her family. A warrior of the mind, her premeditated words were the strategic salt we all needed in our lives. A warrior of the spirit, she stayed close to God in a world constantly testing that relationship. She embodied the strength of a true guardian's love, employed an illuminated mind so others can see how the Holy Spirit moves, and lived her life with a Champion's spirit that refused to quit. She is survived by her husband of over 25 years, Richard Collins, her two daughters Heather Askew and Jamie Askew of Broken Arrow, OK, and her son, Scott Askew of Palm Harbor, FL. Her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren now walk in her mighty 4-foot, 11-and-a-half-inch shadow.

I met you when I was 15 years old, your daughter became my best friend and you become another mother to me. You have taught and raised some very special, amazing, loving children whom I have always considered my sisters and brother. You will always hold a special place in my heart for all the love and care you showed me.
