Grover Justus Obituary

GROVER JUSTUS, 74, of Hurley, VA, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025, at his home. Born in Hurley, VA, he was the son of the late Carson and Lucy (May) Justus. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Two Hands for Christ Community Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and was a retired coal truck driver. He loved gardening, playing guitar, riding his grandkids on his four-wheeler and spending time with his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Linda Virginia Justus; several brothers and sisters including his brother Jerry Justus.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters: Virginia (Tim) Vanover, Church Hill, TN, Christina Justus, Oakwood, VA, son: Steven (April) Justus, Hurley, VA; grandchildren: Steve Justus Jr., Carolyn Justus; sisters: Shirley Baugh, Belfast, VA, Louise Jackson, Hurley, Va, Charlene Justus, Hurley, VA, Barbara (Randy) Stiltner, Hurley, VA; brothers Junior (Juanita) Justus, Hurley, VA, Claudie (Stella) Justus, Hurley, VA, Harold Justus, Hurley, VA.
Also, survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends called at the Two Hands for Christ Community Church Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for GROVER JUSTUS were conducted Monday, April 7, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Two Hands for Christ Community Church with Tommy Conn and Ervin Dotson officiating. Burial followed in the May Branch Cemetery, Hurley, VA.
Active Pallbearers were Steven Justus Jr., Brian Robinson, Tim Vanover, Claudie Justus, Derek Justus, Randy Stiltner, family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers were staff of MSA Hospice.
