She leaves behind her children Robert Slama and his wife Karen Slama, Patricia Mary Hastings and her husband Jerry Hastings. Grandchildren, Bailey Kristen Hastings and Jeffrey Michael Slama Hastings, and her great-granddaughters, Fiona Mae Lashells and Falyn Mae Lashells. Her love for her family was boundless, and she took immense joy in nurturing and supporting them, always.
Katherine was a woman of profound Catholic faith, known to many as "Miss Kay." She was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where she served in the office and lovingly taught the children of the parish about the ways of the Lord. Always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear, Katherine's compassion and generosity touched countless lives. Her unwavering faith guided her throughout her life, leading her peacefully to her eternal rest.
