Kathleen A. Bennett, age 79 of Fremont, NE, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in Fremont, NE.

Kathleen Bennett was born October 31, 1944 in Fremont, Nebraska to Leslie and Helena Barrett of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. She was a 1963 graduate of Cedar Bluffs High School. She lived in Cedar Bluffs and Fremont, Nebraska all her life.

She attended Cosmetology School in Kansas City, Missouri. She married David Bennett September 5, 1964. They had 3 children. She was employed at Birchwood Manor of North Bend, Arbor Manor and Fremont Area Medical Center retiring in 2002.

Survivors include: husband, David; children, Nancy (husband, Gayle) Peters of Scribner, NE, Kim (husband, Jim) Nissen of Omaha, NE, Chad (wife, Shar) Bennett of Papillion, NE, grandchildren, Maggie, Lindsay, Kayden , Charise , Adrian , Dillon , Payton, and Brie and 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Myers, Jeanine Clark, Sharon Renninger, Larry Barrett, and Little brother, Shorty "Brian" Barrett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, siblings: Joyce Wagner, Lowell (Pat) Barrett, Keith "Boomer" Barrett and Howard Seigfried.

Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M, Monday October 14, 2024 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs, NE. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery near Cedar Bluffs, NE.
