With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Dimas Edu Quiroz, who left us on October 27, 2024. Dimas was born on August 20, 1980, to Francisco Quiroz and Aurora Araguz in Harlingen, Texas, the youngest of four children. A beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Dimas filled the lives of those around him with joy, kindness, and unwavering love.
Dimas's love for his two cherished daughters was boundless. He was their devoted father, always proud to be their dad. A Texan through and through, he was the #1 fan of the Houston Texans, never missing a chance to cheer them on. As a soccer dad, he was a constant presence on the sidelines, offering unwavering support and love. His commitment to his family was limitless, and his daughters were always his top priority.
Dimas's love for cooking and sharing meals was a reflection of his warm and generous nature. He found joy in preparing meals and sharing them with loved ones, creating cherished memories over the grill and in the kitchen. His time spent by the water, fishing rod in hand, brought him peace and fulfillment, reflecting his love for the outdoors and the simple pleasures in life.
For over 14 dedicated years, Dimas was a loyal and exceptional employee and family member of Magic Valley Electric Cooperative. He took pride in his work and advanced quickly in his career with the Cooperative. Dimas was known for his commitment to keeping everyone safe, his professionalism, and the friendly smile he offered to everyone he met. His warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, and he was a friend and brother to everyone, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.
Dimas's legacy is one of selflessness, kindness, and friendship. He leaves behind a loving wife, daughters, parents, and a large family who will carry on his memory with love. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, serving as a guiding light in their lives.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Veronica Leal Quiroz, two daughters, Sophia Quiroz and Leahndra Quiroz, his parents, Francisco Quiroz and Aurora Araguz, his siblings, Leo Araguz, Julissa Araguz, Francisco "Frank" Araguz Jr., nephews and nieces; Alek, Noelle and Nia Araguz, AJ, Joel, Klarissa Gonzalez, Frankie Quiroz III, Julianna, and Emilio Quiroz, father and mother in law, Oscar Leal Sr. and Hilda Leal, brothers in law, Danny, Jamie and Oscar Leal Jr. He is also survived by numerous other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 3:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. led by Fidel Balderas at Trinity Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas. A chapel service of Christian burial will follow on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Horacio Chavarria, at Trinity Funeral Chapel, with burial immediately following at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
Honored to be pallbearers will be AJ Gonzalez, Joel Araguz, Frankie Quiroz III, Oscar Leal Jr., Emilio Quiroz and Alek Araguz.
The family invites all who knew and loved Dimas to join in celebrating his life. He will forever be remembered for his laughter, loyalty, love of cooking, and the profound love he gave to his family and friends.
