James Robert Sanders, 50, of Burkburnett, Texas passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024.
The family will receive friends between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the funeral home with Rev. Clay Kahler, officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
James was born on July 28, 1974 to James Rodney and Myrna (Brown) Sanders in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Karen Martin in 1999. James proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired after 21 years. He loved gardening, music, and working on old cars, however following Christ was his true passion. James will be missed by many family and friends.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; and a niece, Morgan Sanders.
He is survived by his two daughters, Julieanne Sanders of Burkburnett and Ayla Nichols and husband Josh of San Antonio, Texas; a son Mikey Ballard of Louisiana; his parents James and Myrna Sanders of Newalla, Oklahoma; brother Darin Sanders and wife, Kendelle of Wichita Falls; son-in-law Brian Bowin of Burkburnett; two grandsons Jeremiah Nichols and Josiah Nichols both from San Antonio, Texas; and a niece Megan Sanders of Bellview, Washington.
