Maureen Stolte Obituary

Maureen Ellen Campo Stolte
March 7, 1954 - November 6, 2024
Maureen was born in New Plymouth, ID to Joe and Rosie Campo. She grew up in Boise, ID and graduated from Bishop Kelly High School. Then went to Lewis Clark State College. In 1981 she moved to Wenatchee.
She met David Stolte in 1995. They were married in November 1996. During their marriage, she worked at Pizza-N-More, Larson Pools, Dr. Keith Henning for 18 years, Milne Insurance and Martin's Market Fresh IGA for four years.
She enjoyed her time working with Dr. Henning and at Martin's because of the people she met and friends she made.
After retiring on December 31, 2023 she enjoyed doing her own thing while waiting for David to retire.
Some of her favorite things was attending Football and Basketball games along with the High School plays. And we can't forget the time she loved to spend with her three granddaughters.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Cashmere.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, David; sisters, Kathleen (Ron) Lyda of Boise, ID, and Colleen (John) White of Meridian, ID; brother, Jerry (Beth) Campo of Whidby Island, WA; children, Nicole (Davis) Richmond; and granddaughters, Emily, Ruth, and Bekah of East Wenatchee, WA, Candace Hansen of Wenatchee, WA; Isaac Stolte of Cashmere, WA, and Jacob Stolte of East Wenatchee, WA.
Memorial service for Maureen will be Saturday November 16, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Cashmere, WA.

Maureen was such a bright light everywhere she went. I first met her at Dr. Jennings office. I went there for several years up until He retired. My kids were just babies back then and she would watch them for me while I got adjusted. We always always chitter chatted afterwards, interrupted only by more clients or the phone. After that we would share a friendly wave as I passed her while she was out walking. I was thrilled when she started working at Martins Market as I could then see her once again on a regular basis. Even if her check out lines was the longest, I would always wait in her line. On the day of her retirement I snapped a photo of her at her register. I posted it to Facebook encourage our community to go wish her well. Almost 300 people left a kind message for her. She impacted so many lives. She was one who could turn anyone's frown upside down. I will miss her dearly. Until we reunite in Heaven. Well done Maureen

Kathy and I met Maureen when she was working at Pizza-N-More in East Wenatchee about 30 years ago. Our family ate there most Sundays after church for several years. Then when she and Dave got married we still saw them around Cashmere and talked occasionally. She worked for Dr. Keith Henning and one year I was there about 50 times so I saw her a lot. We always talked about family, joked and kidded...a lot too! We saw her often when she worked for Martin's Market until she retired. We were so sad to hear of her passing. Such a nice person!
