Jennifer Bosco Obituary

Jennifer Bosco
March 25, 1965 - February 8, 2023
Jennifer E. Bosco (Coyne), 57, of Higganum passed away peacefully at home on February 8th surrounded by family. She was born in Stamford on March 25th, 1965 to Judith and Peter Coyne. Jennifer grew up in Westport before moving to Higganum to raise a family.
Jennifer showed incomparable compassion, generosity, and kindness to everyone she met. Her smile beamed brightly like a ray of sunshine and her sense of humor could light up a room with laughter. A graduate of Norwalk Community College, Jennifer pursued a lifelong career in nursing and was beloved by her patients for her steadfast dedication and kind heart.
Jennifer enjoyed brunches at Christies, cocktails at Chips, gardening, antiquing, summertime motorcycle rides, and trips to New York. She always looked forward to annual family trips to Provincetown, where she could relax on the beach and fly kites with her children.
One of Jennifer's greatest loves was adventure. Whether skydiving, planning cross-country roadtrips, or riding her motorcycle, she was always seeking the next thrill and teaching those around her to live life to its fullest.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Judith Coyne, stepfather, Alexander Thomas, and children, Joseph, Peter, and John Bosco. Jennifer was predeceased by her father, Peter Coyne, and brother, Thomas Coyne.
On Saturday, March 11th, 2023 a memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM at Church of the Assumption, 98 Riverside Avenue, Westport, CT 06880.

A large hole opened in my small universe with the departure of my dear friend Jen. Every Wednesday I had this big smile planted on my face. Jen arrived on her healing tour and said," Hello handsome."
During early Covid 19 masks were scarce.
Jen got the last two boxes. When a nurse appeared desperate Jen gave the stranger half her supply. The pleasure and fun that Jen spread just planning the tear drop camper event. The smile on her face when she
mentioned her kids was contagious.
Jen, I wish we met sooner.

Jen worked as a home health nurse along the shoreline which is how I came to know her because she took care of my mom for almost three years. I am a nurse myself and so I know how to recognize a true nurse angel when I see one. Jen and I became friends thru the years and even closer after my mom passed at 91 last August. I didn´t know her quite as well in the context of this motorcycle riding adventuresome person, I knew her in the context of one of the most compassionate caregivers I have ever met: her patients and their families were everything to her. If the staff couldn´t get mom on the phone, Jen would go over a check her out. If her clients didn´t have a way to keep their toenails cut, Jen figured out a mobile foot care business was the answer . These are really the things that make a difference to peoples lives , believe me. Many People don´t realize how much a good nurse makes a difference for a patient a family or the community. Jen was that nurse and she used her career to spread all that love and compassion to as many as she could for as Long as she could: even when she was actively getting treated, she still attended to her patients because to her They were her family too. A true compassion hero "in my book" as my mom would say. I miss her so very much and I know she is rockin in this heaven place but I miss her here on earth. I just want to make sure that her family knows how much of a difference she made for my family and probably many other families who she supported and cared for during her career. I am so very sorry for your loss , Lo siento

I worked with Jen as one of her schedulers and she was one of the first to greet me with open arms, show me the ropes and become a friend. We kept little contact thru FB but I kept watch on her. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was and will always be an amazing woman. My condolences to all her family.
