Carol McCormick Obituary

Mrs. Carol Jarone McCormick entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the age of 85. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. The family will greet friends from 2 until 3 o'clock on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Hillview Baptist Church in the 1960 Building, (Building C). A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3 o'clock in Building C. Pastor Mike McAlpin will officiate. Jarone was known for her kind spirit and unwavering faith, where she was a devoted member of Hillview Baptist Church for many years. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing at the Augusta Christian Singles Club, and she cherished her trips to the mountains. Jarone's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her son, Carl Shealy, Jr. (Noelle), and her daughter, Carol Borders. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Brooks Shealy (Ashley), Austin Shealy, and Jillian Stringfield (Justin), and her precious great-grandchildren, Grayson and Ellie Shealy, with another great-grandchild, baby Gerido, on the way. Jarone's sister, Jackie Anderson, and her special niece, Jana Anderson, also hold her memory dear. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa Lee and Woodrow Josey, her husband, Jerry McCormick, and her grandson, Jonathan Stringfield. The family extends their gratitude to the entire staff at NHC Healthcare for the extended care given to Mrs. Jarone. A special thank you is also extended to her dedicated nurse and friend, Alivia Ansley. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Mrs. Carol, please visit our Tree Store.
