Sandra Grandmaison Obituary

Sandra J. Grandmaison, 82, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, MA, died on Monday, December 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late George and Loraine (Villers) Greenwood. Sandra was one of twelve siblings, she loved being a part of a big family.
She was born in Haverhill, MA on December 17, 1942. Sandra was raised and educated in Haverhill, and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1960. She was an employee of the IRS in Lawrence and was the city treasurer in Haverhill for many years. Sandra retired as a supervisor for Verizon in Lowell after twenty years of service. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Sandra enjoyed cooking and taking family trips. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish in Bradford.
Sandra is survived by her sons Darryl Grandmaison and his wife Leona of Haverhill, Troy Grandmaison and his partner Deirdre Sanford of Haverhill, her stepchildren Mark Grandmaison of Haverhill and Dawna Blood of Haverhill, her grandchildren, Eric, Mike, Tiffany and her husband John, Stephanie, Kirstin, Amy, Amanda and Nicholas, her great grandchildren Emmit, Kyeson, and Jaxton, Landon, Liam, Lily, and Daisy, her sister Joan LaValley, and Sheila Mendelson. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her previous husband Roger Grandmaison from Haverhill, her son Robert Grandmaison, and her siblings Loraine Perrault, George Greenwood, Robert Greenwood, Jeannette Britton, Frederick Greenwood, Roberta Vuytowecz, Richard Greenwood, Lawrence Greenwood, and Linda Spero.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, January 7, 2024 from 5pm – 7pm at the Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 8, 2024 at 9am, a funeral mass will follow at Sacred Hearts Parish, in Bradford at 10am. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery Hilldale Ave., Haverhill.
