Jane Ross Obituary

Jane Carrie Ross, age 92, Marathon, died Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Wood Aven Health.
She was born May 21, 1932 in the Town of Marathon to the late Edwin and Dorothy (Gresens) Braunel. On June 21,1949 she married Verlyn D. Ross in Marathon. He died on December 25, 2013. Jane was a farm wife.
Survivors include children, Kathryn (Ervin) Kufahl, Reed Springs, MO, Roger Ross, Edgar, Randall (Sharon) Ross, Marathon, Ricky (Sara) Ross, Eden Praire, MN, and Robert (Kathy) Ross, Edgar; grandchildren Robin Gosai, Ryan, Richard, Anna Kolner, Andrew, Matthew, David, Emily, and Peter Ross; 13 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Berdine Bothe, Watertown, and Arvilla May, Texas. Jane will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, and a very special caregiver and friend Debra Marzynski.
Deceased siblings are four sisters, Lucille Schoepke, Doris Traska, Carol Blaubach, Dawn Mae Burish, and four brothers, Merlyn, Duane/Sonny, Leroy/Buddy and infant George Braunel. She also was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Debbie Ross.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again on Saturday from 9:00 until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Circle of Joy or St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Edgar.
