Grady Posey Obituary

Mr. Grady Odell Posey, 87, of Advance, NC passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024. He was born March 14, 1937, in Forsyth County to George Olin Posey and Stella Temples Posey. Mr. Posey was a member of Advance United Methodist Church and retired in 1992 from Allied Automotive Group as a car hauler. Surviving are his wife, Delilah Hartman Posey; six children, Christopher Posey, Scotty Posey (Sandy), Greg Posey (Lisa), Elesha Pettitt (Tony), Whitney Posey and Wesley Posey; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Strickland (Jim); and his dogs, Sam and Max.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Chap. John Connor and dear friend, Skip Tussey, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. The family would like to mention a special thank you to Trellis Supportive Care for their care and compassion of Mr. Posey.
