Mr. Parks Allen Roberts, 93, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Parks was born on April 4, 1932, to the late John and Mamie Roberts. He grew up in Elkin, where his mother operated a family grocery store. Parks graduated second in his class from UNC Chapel Hill in 1957 and earned his law degree. After college, he began his career as an attorney at McKeethen and Gray in Winston-Salem. Parks later joined the firm of Roberts, Frye and Booth, eventually leaving to open his own law office allowing him to pursue his interest in real estate development, founding Wilshire Development Co.

Parks was a lifelong Carolina Tar Heels fan and was a decade-long member of the Ram's Club. He was also an avid golfer and a member of the Jaycees.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Martin Roberts in 2003; and sister, Viola Roberts.

Surviving family includes his two sons, Steve Roberts (Ann) of Belews Creek, and Mark Roberts (Joan) of Winston-Salem; his wife, Mary Roberts of Winston-Salem; four nephews, Marty Minton, Ricky Minton, Donnie Minton and Robert Martin; two nieces, Gayle Martin Canter and Libby Martin; and many extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Dr. Rick Speas officiating. Entombment will immediately follow the service at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
