Linda Johnson Obituary
She was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on September 6, 1956, daughter of Alvin & Lois Johnson. Linda was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two sisters, Debbie Winter and Carolyn (Steve) Kapler, nine nieces and nephews, and 11 great- nieces and nephews.
She lived in Waterloo with her parents until she became part of the Exceptional Persons wonderful group home system. She was a participant in the Newell Post program where she took care of her birds. Linda was a gentle soul. She loved the babies, the holidays, puzzles and music, watching bird videos, and could laugh with the best enjoying episodes of "I Love Lucy" and "The Three Stooges". She enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends and staff at her group home.
A brief graveside service will be held on Friday, September 26, at 11 a.m. at Garden of Memories, 3669 Logan Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa.
Memorials can be made to Exceptional Persons in Waterloo, or Care Initiatives Hospice in Cedar Falls.
