Skippy was always our little brother. We grew up next door and spent a lot of time with the DeFord's. Skip lost his Mom at an early age, so our Mom mothered him as best she could. I was expecting him to stop in Pahrump on the way back from Lyle's funeral (his brother). God had different plans for him.Rest in peace skip. Thanks for the good times.. Bev

Where do I begin? We had been friends forever. I grew up next door to the Defords. Skip and I have always been close. He was just like a brother. When I didn't hear from him, I knew something was wrong. We always communicated. Our families always visited, helped, played together. Too many memories to list. You will always be in my heart. See you in heaven dear friend.

We grew up together as kids on the outskirts of Corvallis. We made a clubhouse out of a chicken coop, cut and stacked wood for my father, learned to smoke camels-he was 9 I was 12. He was a prosperous farmer at a young age even before he went into the service. To me he was Skippy. Look forward to seeing him in heaven.

For Heidi: so sorry to hear your parents are no longer with us. They were both such special people and although we weren´t able to be with each other much there was a special bond because of the common familial thread.
